Small Things Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 October 2026

In short: Small Things does not collect, upload, share or sell any of your data. Everything you add stays on your iPhone.

Who we are

Small Things is an iOS app made by Jacent Labs (“we”). If you have any questions about this policy, contact us at contact@jacentlabs.com.

Information we collect

None. Small Things has no accounts, no servers, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking or crash-reporting tools. The app does not connect to the internet.

Information stored on your device

The people, questions, notes, dates, groups and photos you add are stored only on your device, inside the app’s private storage. When your device has a passcode, this data is encrypted by iOS and can’t be read while the device is locked. We never have access to it.

Permissions the app may ask for

Each permission is optional and is only used on your device:

  • Contacts: to import names, photos and birthdays you choose to bring into the app. Your Contacts are never changed.
  • Calendars: to read upcoming events and show catch-ups with the people in the app. The app never creates, edits or deletes calendar events.
  • Notifications: to remind you about questions, birthdays and catch-ups. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
  • Camera and Photos: to set a profile photo for someone. Only the photo you pick or take is saved, and only within the app.

You can change these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app.

Backups

If you back up your device to iCloud or a computer, your Small Things data is included in that backup, in the same way as your other apps’ data. These backups are controlled by you and by Apple’s own policies; we do not have access to them.

Deleting your data

You can erase everything Small Things has stored at any time from Settings → Reset App inside the app. Deleting the app also removes its data from your device.

Children

Small Things does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children, because it does not collect information at all.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date at the top. If a future version of the app ever collects data, this policy will be updated before that version is released.
